Guest guest
a what ratio of the frosting ingredients do you use. I have been playing with a frosting using the Spectrum shortening & egg whites, & honey, but can not seem to get the ratio's correct. I would be interested to hear how you do it. Guest guest
I was afraid you would ask - I'm going to estimate I use about 1.5 cups of shortening, 1/4 cup of honey, about 1/2 teaspoon or so of vanilla, and about 2-4 tablespoons of butter (I don't always add butter though - it does't change the frosting that much). Finally, I beat it for a few minutes in a KitchenAid processor. I just add stuff randomly. Hope that helps! a > > > > > > > > > http://uclbs.org/recipes/desserts/sue14datecake.php > > > > > > Here is the link for Sue's Fourteen Date Cake and Bavarian Cream > > > Frosting. > > > > > > > > > Carol F. > > > Celiac, SCD 8 years,MCS, Latex Allergy > > > http://www.celiac.com/authors/143/Carol-Frilegh > > > http://www.talkaboutcuringautism.org/gfcf-diet/sc-diet.htm > > > > > >
