Listmates:

A friend of mine who is involved with Emergency Services in

Pennsylvania, showed a product to me that I think may be beneficial to those

of us who

have children with speech disorders. He was shown the product to get

hisadvice as an emergency services personnel, on how it would benefit

paramedics, firemen, police, etc. if someone could not speak due to

anemergency of that nature. He then thought of me and my son who is 9 yrs

old (knowing of his severe speech disorder and seizure disorder). My

friend knew one of my biggest fears was how would my son be able to

communicate to someone his name, his address, his phone number, etc. if he

became lost or in an accident. In the past I just used a typed card that I

would put in his pocket. So, I looked at the product and thought it was

really great. It's unlike other products I've seen because it has a

capsule that contains a strip of paper with all the child's

information.Conor is now wearing the ID bracelet (he thinks it's cool too!)

It's

called the SOS Emergency Medical ID.

QVC (shopping channel) is carrying the product which has been on and will

air again next week (Monday 7-9 a.m. 6/24). So you can take a look at it.

They also have a website www.sosamerica.com. I have no monetary interest

in this product. They, however, contacted me and asked if I would give a

testimonial on the product since my son has been wearing it. I am

relieved to know it will get help for my son right away if needed. They

also come in sneaker attachments too. In fact, I'm getting one for my 2 yr

old and my other son (5 yrs. old) who wants to wear a bracelet just like

his big brother! It's worth taking a look!

Thanks,

Cheryl, Wilmington,DE

(Conor, 9 yrs. old apraxia, dysarthria, VPI, , 5 yrs old, and

Carly, 2 yrs old)
