Guest guest
Harry and I, and the Dachshund Duo are headed for GAFilk, the Georgia Science Fiction Folk Singing Conference. Lord willin' an' the crik doan rise, we will be out of here early AM, having achieved something rare, odd, and unusual, aka having everything packed the night before a drive. For info on the conference, www.gafilk.org will tell you where it is and what's going on. We are not staying at the conference hotel, a Crowne Plaza, because, despite having advertised that they took pets, they refused our reservation when I told them we would have the dachshunds. We will be staying at the nearby Red Roof Inn, which has something really neat for SCDers: a room with a King bed which also has a refrigerator and a microwave. They call it their " Business King " and the rooms are also larger than most motel / motel rooms, with a nice-sized desk to set things like the toaster oven and our own fridge up on, not to mention plates and food and etc. The price is, for hotel rooms these days, quite reasonable, ie, significantly under $100 a night. The Atlanta one does have a pet fee; the ones we stayed at last summer in New York State did not. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
