We moved to a new state nearly a year ago in May 2007. I've been on

SCD since Aug 2006 and I have been med free since June 2007. Likely

due to a bit too much cabbage or cauliflower, last month I had an

intestinal blockage that lasted a little more than a day and was

absolutely no fun. So I decided maybe I should at least know the name

of a doctor in town just in case I get into a flair that I can't cope

with through diet. Well today I met the doctor, explained my

situation to him, explained a bit about SCD and I gave him a copy of

BTVC. After poking a prodding me a bit he said I was completely

asymptomatic.

This comes now when in July and Aug of 2006 I was undergoing CAT scans

and other more invasive procedures as the docs were trying to figure

out why I was in nearly continual pain, experiencing frequent

blockages and could not even tolerate my wife placing her arm across

my stomach. I started a fanatical dedication to SCD and prayer in Aug

2006 which has clearly lead me to where the doctors could not take me.

The new doc with a smile on his face basically said 'nice to meet you

now don't bother me until you have something wrong with you'

Thank you SCD and the SCD community for your support and healing. May

God Bless.
