legislative fix. The bill corrects narrow court interpretations that have restricted ADA protections in the workplace, and stripped coverage for many individuals with disabilities. The text of the Act states it provides: "a new definition of 'substantially limits' to indicate that Congress intends to depart from the strict and demanding standard applied by the Supreme Court..."
