speaking of snopes, someone should check this out. sounds like if it were true,

it would be on the news.

Thats what I thought at first, but a friend of mine who was a cop, told me that sometimes when a matter is under investigation, they done like to make whom ever they are out to catch, nervous. The police may have a trap set and are waiting for it to be sprung.

The other reason, for not publicizing things is not to give some of the freaks out there even more ideas.

Hopefully none of us are those freaks :0)

I do appreciate your wanting to alert us. There is, however, and amazing

amount of MIS-information out there, masquerading under various forms.

Any time I receive something like this, I go out to

www.snopes.com, the

urban legend site.

gives almost the exact text of what you received, and states that it is a

hoax.
