It sounds as if you might be having massive bacterial die-off, as you have several of the symptoms. In any case, that's **way too much** yogurt for the 9th day. It's filled with potent probiotics that may be too much for your system to handle. You have to work up to that amount more slowly. > > I was doing so well - I do feel disappointed today. Go back to a small amount of yogurt, like half a cup. Or you might even skip it for a day or two until you regularize. This is a slow process, that cannot be rushed. If you do rush, the results tend to be setbacks, as you see. Feel better, Mara
Guest guest
Hi Bourouba, Yeah, I'm not feeling that flash today either. If it's any consolation I've been on scd for quite some time now & still have an off day or two. All a learning/healing curve. You're probably having some die off & as you have noted , a bit of a sudden gorge all at once on the yoghurt may have upset your tum a bit. Remember you CAN have too much of a good thing. Any time you're in doubt you can go back to the intro diet for a couple of days & then go back to the foods you had introduced that you were doing o.k. on. Are you keeping a foods & symptoms diary? Gillian Not well today - any insights? I am on Day 9 on the diet. I was doing better and better until yesterday. I started to feel heavy, dizzy, foggy minded and with the feeling that my stomach remained full. But I was still basically OK. I did not sleep well and today I feel lethargic, I have nausea, I feel bloated, I keep burping and belching with acid reflux and my digestion seems to be amazingly sloooow. Actually I feel today as if I had drunk lots of alcohol last night (which is not the case - I have been 100% legal for 9 days.)The only thing I have done not quite legal is to eat lots (3 cups) of yogurt yesterday AM at breakfast - it seems that everything has slowed down since then. Since I do feel as if I was drunk last night, this could be an indication that my liver did not deal well with that much yogurt. ??? I don't know - I am trying to figure out what went wrong. Or could this be some bacterial reaction? I just have no idea. The extra yogurt is the only thing I can think of as wrong doing.I was doing so well - I do feel disappointed today. I really hope this is just a temporary setback. Until today I really thought I had found a big part of the solution to my digestive issues. I still hope I am right. Any insights anyone?ThanksBourouba SCD 9 days
Guest guest
Thank you Mara, Your **way too much** comments brought my first good laugh of the day. I do have a tendency to overdo things. Nothing new here. But I also have the ability to listen and change. :-) A die-off is certainly possible. My last stool analysis showed a huge amount fo Staph Aureus, plus several other bacteria one would prefer not to have in its body plus some yeast. A diagnosis of severe dysbiosis with elevated sIgA. Something is definitely wrong down below! I'll move more slowly... Thanks again, Bourouba > > > I am on Day 9 on the diet. I was doing better and better until > > yesterday.
