Hi, I'm not sure what point you are in the diet. If you tolerate it, I don't see why not. (The moderators may have different advice on this--I'm just adding my two cents :-)). For the first six months, I ate at least two roasted chickens and two 18-ct eggs. Not kidding. I stayed hungry and did ok on it. I ate other foods with it also. I was anemic so less worried about cholesterol and more worried about maintaining food. I had a few fruits and veggies with that also. This was after staying on the intro awhile. On pecanbread, I noticed a lot of parents talking about how much the kids eat in the beginning. That could change later when things even out or you tolerate other foods.

That's per week LOL. Not per day, sorry.

heh.. thats funny.

i actually thought you ate 2 chickens a day!

been on scd 5 months..

was on it longer but didnt do it properly so i only count 5 months

(first two were basically just the intro diet)

i had a set-back after trying oil of oregano for yeast overgrowth so i

am back on intro.

my husband is going food shopping for me a little later and he will

make me soup and apple sauce.

he did get me a couple of burger patties this morning.

i am feeling much better and i am able to hold down food without

vomiting! and my appetite is back.

i just don't want to OD on anything.

i make so many mistakes and i get antsy.

thanks for the advice.

Jodi,

Since you are eating only a few foods, I suggest rotating through them

per each mini-meal.

Remember what I said about my first few months? I could eat zucchini,

soft-boiled eggs, roast beef, and roast pork. (Oh, and I was able to add

cheese the second week, so that's five foods.)

My husband would roast a beef roast and a pork roast (if you don't want

to go with the higher fat pork, he could roast a chicken) and then cut it

into about 2-4 ounce slices. He would put these in bags in the

refrigerator. He also peeled and sliced the zucchini (or whatever

vegetables you tolerate) and put IT in bags in the refrigerator.

I could then come up front and boil a couple of eggs. (If you are doing

hard boiled eggs, since I seem to recall you don't tolerate soft-boiled,

these could also be cooked ahead and ready.) I'd have them. Then 2-3

hours later, I'd have a slice of roast. 2-3 hours later, I'd have some

steamed zucchini. Then two hours later, a slice of the other roast. Then

back to eggs.

That way, you're only putting one food down (and a small amount of it) at

a time. This doesn't mean eating two patties two meals in a row is wrong.

It just means you may want to eat something else before you have more

burger meat!
