Guest guest
I was wondering. I seem to be getting lazy at making yogurt before I run out. I know I am getting enough calcium with everything else I eat, but I know I should be getting more good bacteria when I am not eating yogurt daily. Would the vsl# 3 be a good choice? I've heard such good things about this, though I don't know alot about it. I know probotics have been discussed numerous times but can't remember specifically the conversations about the vsl #3. I hope I am remembering the name of it correctly. Thanks for any help. I have a little over 2 weeks of every other day 2.5 mg of prednizone, and I want to do everything I can to never go back on it. Thanks. Sandy- newbie scd 3 months uc since 2004 Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your homepage.
Guest guest
Sandy, it is illegal. Here is an email that I saved. Katy The VSL#3 is illegal and I certainly don't recommend it.I've consulted with a few people who have gone into massive flaresafter trying the VSL#3. Also I know lots who have had major problemswith bifidum bacteria (especially when on SCD).Perhaps it is because the SCD clears out the harmful microbes andbifidum takes over, overgrowing into huge numbers. The by-products ofbifidum bacteria could be what sends people into flares - especiallythose who have sensitive guts or those at the beginning of the diet, these people unfortunately have "fertile ground" for bifidum bacteriato overgrow."Sheila _____________________________________________________________Click now for huge savings on quality flooring materials! Guest guest
I seem to be getting lazy at making yogurt before I run out. Hi Sandy, Here is a link to the unit I use to make yogurt. I dont think it gets any easier than this. It takes 3 minutes more than it takes to boil the milk. I use 1/2 & 1/2, it comes out so thick after you put it in the fridge that you can turn it upside down and shake the hell out of it and it wont budge. What is best is the 7oz portions are just right. I have one a day so the batch will last a week. I bought extra jars, somehow one goes missing once in a while. All The Best, LouIt's Tax Time! Get tips, forms and advice on AOL Money Finance.
