Jodi, <g> Depends on how large a serving you want! Seriously, I'd use 8-12 apples, depending on the size of the apple. An apple peeler corer like the one here: http://www.amazon.com/Apple-Machine-Peeler-Corer-Slicer/dp/B000UZA2HQ/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8 & s=home-garden & qid=1203618003 & sr=8-2 makes peeling and coring the apples a snap. Mine even slices them.
