Guest guest
Does anyone know of any good references or have any experience with dealing w/ the impact of severe apraxia in context w/ its impact on reading fluency? My son can do single word or single sentence flash cards w/ near perfection ( not counting artic errors), but when we put more than 2 sentences together, no matter how easy or familiar the vocabulary, the syllables and words soon get all jumbled and he miscalls even the simpliest of words. I am stumped as to how to address this. Further, the school has no idea how apraxia impacts reading fluency and how reading fluency instruction should be addressed. Shouldn't a decent SLP know something about how the two related and should be addressed? Any help out there? Ronnie
