Sadly, this is not covered by Part C. My daughter went to RP for 5

months, this year and we were very happy with everything. She

recently turned 3 and went into the public school system, but we miss

RP. We drained one savings account, but it was worth it. I'm trying

hard to get insurance to cover the ABA; since the new law passed,

they may have to. By the way, does anyone know the specifics of this

new bill? Need some ammunition!

Unfortunately, no, therapy in our clinic is not covered by Part C. It

used to be several years ago. I think that now if any ABA is covered

at all, at least in PB County, it is provided in the form of special

instruction for about 1 hour per week. You could possibly ask your

Part C case manager about this- it may be possible to get more.

We do offer parent training classes and many families have learned

through these classes how to implement ABA techniques at home. We have

some ability to grant full or partial scholarships for these classes

for families in need of financial aid.

In the spring, when the autism insurance legislation kicks in we will

be either accepting insurance or helping provide documentation for

reimbursement depending on the provider/policy.

Our number is . We look forward to hearing from you.

> It's the other way, Part C doesn't accept RP.

Actually, to clarify this we DO qualify to accept Part C. Our

therapists meet the qualifications and we used to be a provider. We

opted out because their new model (at least in PB County) covers

services in home (at about 1 hour per week) and we are primarily

clinic based and more intensive. We may consider

changing/adapting our model in the future if we can make it work while

still providing clients with our current model.

Just wanted to clear this up!
