hello all! I'm new to this site but not new to chiari. my brother

was misDx for over ten years. Docs thought he had MS. Once he had the

surgery the doc said that he was about 3-6 months from dying of ACM.

that was six years ago...about the time when my symptoms started. I

was Dx this past monday. I have ACM1 20mm with syrinx. as of today i

am taking myself off of driving priviliges, i just can't take the

risk of getting into a wreck. Anyway i read alot of complaints on

this site and i know they are all real, i have alot of them too. we

all need to realize that this can be beaten and we can recover for

the most part. I'm glad that i have my brother to fall back on for

this...most of you are not that lucky, but i want to be here for

those that need help and encouragement. I just wanted all to know

that. feel free to email me anytime... I'm going to need alot of help

and encouragement too from ya'll... i'll be having my surgery in

about a month. be well zipperheads and future zipperheads....
