Guest guest
OK confession time. and I hope you aren't eating your lunch. I bought one as I have v heavy periods and thought it would solve the running to the bathroom every half hour bit on the first few days. I can manage to get it in and out ok, not too messy. But I found it incredibly uncomfortable. I thought the problem was the long stem so I shortened it. Now it just sticks in. I have come to the conclusion that I must be oddly shaped inside or allergic to rubber. Also I don't know where they get their idea of an oz of fluid (or whatever). It kept filling up on me and I still needed to empty it on an hourly basis on the first few days. Doesn't help that I am a clotter too. But it didn't leak which was a good thing. I wasn't so sure about using it overnight, but actually it was OK. If it wasn't for the fact that it was so uncomfortable, and I get uncomfortable enough during those first two or three days, I would still be using it. But it may just be me and my insides. I guess it takes some getting used to, but I for one am back to ultra-super-emormous tampons and overnight towels for the first two or three days. (So much for reducing the amount of landfill and just like washable breastpads, I couldn't even go down the route of washable sanitary towels) (oh god, confessions of trying to do away with my daughter with tablets, physical abuse involving toilet seats and noses and now you know intimate details about my tubes and periods - no credibility left whatsoever!) Ho hum. Sue H. " A. Lavery " wrote: > > Does anyone on the list actually **use** a keeper? > > Are they any good?
