Guest guest
Why not make up a batch of yogurt and use it on your vagina. A dr. one time said to pack the area with yogurt and lay down for 15-20 minutes. Guest guest
You're sure the itchiness is vaginal and not bladder? I've dealt with a vaginal infection as a result of having a yeast overgrowth. You might still be eating too much of one of the yeast " trigger " foods -- or rather too much for your digestion to cope with right now, which is encouraging the yeast to flourish. Are you having any fruit? Might need to cut back to every other day. Maybe the DCCC, if you're having that, is too much for your body, and could be encouraging a yeast overgrowth. Another possibility is that you might actually be taking too much Lyosan. I've talked with women who ended up having a vaginal infection from an overgrowth of L. Acidophilus, instead of candida albicans. Same symptoms, but when their doctors did testing it was discovered it was an overgrowth of L. Acidophilus or another supposedly beneficial bacteria, not the usual candida/yeast. My immune system lets me know when I take too much acidophilus, so my maintenance dose is one capsule every other day -- not 3 each day. Yours might not be as sensitive, so isn't letting you know it's too much. You might cut back to one Lyosan each day or skip a day now and then and see if things improve. Just some ideas. If you list the foods and drinks you're currently consuming we might notice something that could encourage yeast to overgrow. Kim M. Guest guest
i'm actually not itchy today so i'll try doing what you said backing off a bit and hopefully a bit more variety will be healthier too - thank you will it hurt to add the s boulardi now if not itchy?? eileen 3 months scd > > Eileen > > You are eating a lot of the yeast " trigger " foods in one day, which might explain the vaginal itchiness, especially if your digestion isn't coping too well with one or more of them. I ate lots of low-carb veggies, only had applesauce or diluted fruit juice every other day, etc. We're all different, so you may not need to go that drastic. But I found, through trial and error, that in order to kill off the high levels of yeast I had to eliminate most of the trigger foods. And then stay at that level for a long time since my body wouldn't tolerate antifungals. > > For now, you could just cut back on the most sweet things, like bananas and pears. Have a banana pancake every other day, for example. Switch to baked apples and only have them on a day when you don't have a banana. Maybe not eat carrots more than twice a week. > > You might not need to do this for long; just enough to feel your itchiness disappear. You're lucky that you noticed the itchiness first. In my case that was the last symptom to appear; I'd already had oral thrush and skin rashes and fluid in my ears and some other symptoms, so it took me a long time to get the overgrowth killed off. > > Kim M. >
