Guest guest
Hey Eileen, I take the S. Bouldardii from giprohealth.com (it's SCD compliant) - it really is wonderful for me when I took it the first two days! The third day I took it close to homemade yogurt and that caused some serious havoc but I am feeling much better today. So, pay attention to that. I was told I can take it together with Lyosan but after the whole yogurt incident I am wary. That doesn't mean the Lyosan will do the same thing as the yogurt did. Still, I just space it out! I took it today and it seems to be helping again also with the pain (which is making me understand that I experience a lot of pain from die-off.. But I am having a very hard time dealing with this stubborn Candida) Have you tried eating the Yellow squash that looks like zucchini's? What about cooked apples, cooked pears? What about Turkey? Have you tried any broiled white fish? What about eggs hard boiled or scrambled in butter (I find organic butter and organic eggs best)? Obviously slow.. (I wish I could follow this " SLOW " mantra better but I seem to rush sometimes and I totally pay the consequences) Feel Better.. Guest guest
Hi Eileen, That made me laugh.. I love food! I know what you mean about the chicken pancakes and avocados- who knew I would be eating so many burger patties?? I should purchase some stock in the company! Let me stress, which has been profusely expressed to me time and time again. Each one of us is different and what bothers me may not bother someone else and what is working for me- well may not work for someone else. That is what makes this diet such a challenge but I think at the same time it makes it magical in a way that we all learn how to fine tune what's best for ourselves like the care that goes into a Stradivarius! This process really does allow us to reach true health! So.. I was advised it is ok to take the S. Boulardii with the Lyosan together. I did not do this as I know that I have an iffy history with probiotics (have made me sick many times but have also done wonders for me! Very confusing) I took it on an empty stomach for 2 days with fantastic results! The third day I took it after eating a yogurt smoothie (about 30-40 minutes) this was a mistake as this caused havoc for some reason. I understand that it might have been too much for me to cope with. Whatever. The pain, the not being able to eat/drink at all and vomiting returned. So, if I were to do it again today I would try the S. Boulardii on a day I do not take any yogurt and when I would take yogurt I would space it out at least like 4 hours. I would also space it out from the Lyosan due to my own history with reacting violently to probiotics in general. I still have not tried the Lyosan and S. Bouldarii on the same day. I would love to work up with that. I am scared but I know it will be good for me at some point! From what I understood many people don't have a problem taking it together. Sometimes every little thing will cause me to vomit but that may be due to some other issues I am currently experiencing (pancreatic issues that I am being tested for) I hope that helps.. Guest guest
Eileen, You can work up to three of the GIprohealth S. Bouldarii a day. Each capsule constain 3 billion CFU's (should only take max 9 billion CFU's a day) I don't know what your " normal " or cautious pace is. So I don't know if I can answer that for you. For me, it's about a week until I try a new way to take a supplement that is " safe " this means after I initially try to test it out- I " IDEALLY " (sometimes I get too rambunctious) take a supplement for 1 day skip the next and see how I feel. I take it every other day for like a week and then try to add in my normal regiment! But again, I don't always follow these mentioned rules and I am still learning that these rules sometimes don't work for me. So, it's like a work in progress for me and I am still learning how to figure this out. Maybe some of the more experienced SCD'ers have better advice?
