Guest guest
Dear , The groups are run through Children's Center for Development and Behavior (www.childpsych.org) in Sunrise. All of the group participants are placed in an appropriate group based on a behavioral/social skills intake that takes place during a group session. I conduct the intake and create an " individual needs plan " . I currently hold a BCBA and have a masters degree in applied behavior analysis and am in the process of completing a doctorate degree in Developmental Psychology at FIU. The groups are overseen by Jused Melian, who created and developed the groups over 3 years ago. Jused Melian holds a bachelors degree in psychology and is sitting for the BCABA exam within the next 6 months. Her assistant Elena De Sousa is an SLPA who is completing her masters degree in speech and language pathology at FIU next spring. All other therapists involved in the group are trained behavioral therapists who conduct behavioral interventions and discrete trial therapy with individuals as the bulk of their work.
