Guest guest
B, Personally, I still think that too low a dose for Brett since he is just starting out on Pred. Most all of us had to start out with a mega dose of Pred to get in under control and then slowly go down to a lower dose for our maintenance dose. >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hi Lu and everyone. Just got back from Brett's apt. Dr. examined Brett and upped his prednisone from 10 mlg to 15 per day. The ear went down some, but the redness under his eyes and over his nose is definitely still there. He told her his of his lower back pain. She wants to see him in a month. We are just praying that the prednisone will work soon ! She doesn't want to put him on methotrexate (sp?) because of his low white blood cell count, but she is not ruling it out completely. Thanks again everyone for your support and knowledge. I feel so very comfortable knowing that you all are there ! B.
Guest guest
, I agree...I did say in the apt. that I thought the pred needed to be upped before she said anything. She is always open to phone calls. If I don't see any improvement in a week I will call her and let her know. This is my busy time too...change of semester is near...reserve books off and on for next semster..dealing w/ 60 faculty members and 300 students ! Fun stuff - ugh.
