Guest guest
I'm really pleased with myself. Thanks to this list and reading all about Thrush, I recognised the symptoms in my sister and her 3 month old baby today. They saw the doc 2 days ago for a well baby check and the doc didn't notice!!!! Anyway, she's complained to me before that her nipples go white and numb when she's feeding and when cold and we'd put that down to Nipple Vasospasm. (Which will still think it is) but she was saying how she's getting really sore whilst feeding and she's even resorted to using nipple sheilds because it was so painful which didn't sound right to me. Then I noticed baby had very white lips, which she'd put down to being a milk blister but I looked in his mouth and he had more like white curds inside. I said that's definately thrush!! (Although I've never had it or seen it before!) Anyway I told her to ask the doc for Diflucan for her (I know Cherie used to swear by that) and also something for Asher(baby). Any other suggestions anyone? I think it's quite a bad case as she said Asher's lips have been white inside for weeks. I can't believe the doctor missed it!
