Guest guest
Steps for Indenting Text in Word 2000 Click on Format Click on Bullets & Numbering Click on " Numbered " tab at top Click on the Box with the style you prefer - 1, 2, 3 or (1), (2), (3) and other choices. Click on the customize button in the lower right hand corner Once you are in the customized section, enter the information that is appropriate for your use in the " aligned at " and " indented at " options. I have mine aligned at 0 (where the number goes) and the test indented at 0.5. That option makes it look like this. 1. This is an example of text aligned at 0 and indented at 0.5. I don't know if this will come through e-mail correctly, but it looks good in Word. 2. Next number comes in automatically when you hit the return key after the number above. 3. I have not entered any of these numbers manually. 4. If you need double spaces between the numbers, you can go do it after number 1 when #2 comes in by itself, just manually add in a return and type in #2 yourself manually and then each number after that will leave a blank line in between and the it will start automatically giving you #3, #4, #5, etc. Note: If you have the feature called " Help for Wordperfect Users " turned on in Word, your numbers will be all messed up. I had problems for months until someone told me I had to turn that feature off and from then on the indenting in Word worked like a charm. Hope this helps! Guest guest
As I feared, when it came through in my Outlook express, the text was not indented. In Word, however, it looked like the original request desired. 1. Text here. 2. Text here. 3. Text here. Aligned in here. 4. Text here.
