Guest guest
After we get passed the Intro diet is there anything we can add to the yogurt to make it more palatable like honey or fresh fruit?
Guest guest
honey and fresh very ripe banana, but for other fruits, like apples and pears, and eventually other things, you should cook them first. Try making apple sauce - recipe in BTVC. It's delicious. And so easy. Have you seen this chart yet? http://www.pecanbread.com/new/scdfoods1.html scroll down about half down the page and there is an invaluable chart with suggestions as to how and when to introduce foods. You don't have to follow it religiously, it's just meant to be a guideline and everyone reacts to things differently. Mara S. Andy, Dripped yogurt is less tart. You can add mashed ripe banana. Or honey. Or vanilla. Or other legal flavors. I make a butterscoth topping which is quite good, and a lemon topping which stirs in nicely. Someone remind me to put my yogurt on to drip.... — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
Guest guest
Marilyn, How do you make the dripped yogurt, the butterscotch topping and the lemon topping? Recipes? Also, can you post the recipes for those wonderful spices you mentioned previously? -Andy > >After we get passed the Intro diet is there > >anything we can add to the yogurt to make it > >more palatable like honey or fresh fruit? > > Andy, > > Dripped yogurt is less tart.
