Oh sounds like a rough time. Steffi also had a temp last

night and complained of tummy ache (I think she just needed a poo,

actually!) but she slept well (just the usual climb into our bed

during the night).

Glad to hear things are better this morning.

Re pain - yes I agree. Although don't forget it's not so long since

babies weren't picked up if they cried!

I think firm cuddles are more helpful too - in labour anyone who

touched me lightly nearly got thumped! I read somewhere (on this list

probably!) that light touches are perceived as more threatening.

I read that too - something to do with light touches being carried along the

same neural pathways as fear responses.

Kitty has been up and down all day - I thought she was OK this morning, but

she woke up from her lunchtime nap screaming and hot again - just hoping

that she sleeps tonight!
