Guest guest
Hi Misty, Starting at 6oz will definitely cause gas. It is because of the amount of good bacteria in it. The best way to start the yogurt is with a teaspoon or so, then slowly work your way up. I started at 1 tsp, and doubled the dose every second day until 1/2 cup (4oz). At 1/2 cup I noticed a bit of gas so I stayed there for a week. Now the gas is better and I'll increase again soon. My mom who has no digestive difficulties was interested in the homemade yogurt. So she has been eating it too. She started at 1/2cup (4oz) per day and had gas. She got over it after about two weeks, but like I said she has no digestive problems. Hope that helps, Kat IBS SCD since 01/23/2008 http://scdkatfood.blogspot.com/ > > > > I just added yogurt back to my diet Monday and my stomach has been > > getting very bloated but there isn't any pain associated with it. > Is > > yogurt known to cause gas? Guest guest
Thanks so much for your reply. I only ate 2 TBS yesterday and today and am having gas problems, so I must be super sensitive to it.
