Hello All,

Sorry is this email is a repeat of information already offered but I wasn't

considering Carnosine at the time.

Dosage? Bekah weighs 55 pounds

Given with/without food?

Mixed in liquid?

Where purchased and price?

I purchased it Dr. Chez.

Thanks

Judi (Bekah's Mom-mom)

I was told by our dr that carnosine starts out working great but eventually

brings copper in. our kids already usually have too much copper and not enough

zinc.

Carnosine is not for everyone - my son did not tolerate it. For him

all of his OCD habits (lining things up, closing all the doors,

scripting) which are usually minor, increased dramatically. He was

only on the carnosine for a few weeks and at a lower dose than your

sons. It took a few months for his OCD habits to diminish after we

stopped the carnosine.

I'm not positive that I'm correct in this, but my son's OCD habits

increase when he has a cold or allergies so I think histamine sets

him off. Since carnosine has histidine and that breaks down into

histamine, I think kids who have problems with histamine may not do

well with carnosine.

I wonder if that's why the Carn-Aware product contains zinc in

addition to the carnosine (and vitamin E).
