It appears that the insurance MAY cover the plastic surgery. A plastic surgeon has been located at Tulane who also has privileges at Touro, and who can coordinate with the oncologist and the gynecologist. However, the surgery has been rescheduled from 25 March to 7 April. The oncologist says that the delay will make no difference in the outcome of the cancer treatment, but having the plastic surgeon will make for a significantly better outcome for me. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Looking for last minute shopping deals? I'm planning on making a whole slough of cheddar-parmesan biscotti crackers and cheese crisps this weekend. I may not be able to have them in hospital, but I will certainly want them afterwards. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
Guest guest
Hey Marilyn, Oyy- Insurance companies and the crap they put a patient through. I am happy you might have the plastic surgeon on board your team- and just appeal and appeal and appeal- if they deny get the actual unabridged book of your insurance agreement- do you understand legal jargon? My hubby does (he can help if you want), if so appeal using that as a guide to insurance commissioner. My writing project is about Insurance companies and they'll take your kishkes out not to pay or just to make your life miserable by stringing it out and misleading you. (I am sure you and all of us live this) You're strong.. Although dealing with Insurance issues isn't conducive to a calm and healing environment- you'll feel better down the pipe. I wish you to be Uber-Marilyn and channel some of that zen yoda power you've got going on to stay in a good zone with lots of giggles... You're in my thoughts and prayers..
