Guest guest
Dear Dar, Welcome to the Crew. I hear you when you say frightened. This NF2 is packed with reasons for fear. But we are all here for info and support to help with that. I am fearful however, after reading yours and some other posts, that I, too may have an undiagnosed NF2 because I have ringing periodically and fullness. It may just be allergies, but I am seeing my GP to get opinion and possible referral to ENT. My daughter has a severe case of spontaneous NF2 and we've been told that. They will not test us genetically, because we don't have any history and our lineage isn't long enough for effectiveness. So every time I have a problem, I think perhaps it is NF2 undiagnosed in me that is really my daughter, Anne's, problem. Sorry to hear of your husband's surgery and the resulting health trials. I feel the same as he does about the surgeries. Unless the tumor is life threatening or may become so readily, I resist the surgeries for Anne. She has had 11 and frankly, she is wiped out from them. Well, it is a long road, and we can hold each other's hand through the journey. Vicki
