Guest guest
Thank you all for your responses, here were some answers to some frequent questions: 1) Once field space is finalized we will have firm schedules. Currently the Weston Sports Alliance contrls City of Weston baseball fields, and although ther are no training and development programs for our kids, the alliance members are not willing to give up their field space. There is also a conflict because the local YMCA is trying to establish a special populations program for a cost of $65 to $80 an hour. There is a meeting August 11th in which I hope those issues will be resolved. If not there are back up plans that may require some travel in the Broward Area. 2) This will be a training and development program where we hope to teach children the game of baseball. We will endeavour to have the least restrictive enviroment where kids get hits, make outs and field in an adaptive baseball game. We also hope to try to mainstream some children for some exposure to games with typical children. 3) We will open registration soon. There will be no cost, but we would ask for contributions from families who find value in the program. We also will have outside sponsors. 4) Buddies will be used to teach kids baseball under an adult coach's supervision.
