This workshop will detail the diagnostics of Asperger’s Disorder/High Functioning Autism and will provide

an in-depth look into the behavior supports these individuals require in the classroom, home, and

community. This will be done in 2 sections: description and discussion of the diagnostic criteria for

Asperger’s Disorder and the “3 steps to success” prevention of problem behaviors, management of

meltdowns, and positive reinforcement based strategies. This will be a fun and interactive workshop where

attendees will participate individually and in small groups in each of the core areas presented. About the PresenterDr. Baker currently works with Behavior Management Consultants, Inc., and he is a Board CertifiedBehavior Analyst who has been working in the field of Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis for over 10years. Dr. received his Master’s degree in Psychology from East Carolina University, where hespecialized in Mental Retardation and Developmental Disorders. He later completed his Ph.D. in ABA atFlorida State University.
