Dear Families,

I have been

receiving more and more requests to attend IEP meetings, I wish I could attend

all of them but time limits my availability. Although I always do my best to

attend, many times it is not possible to be at a meeting. This seems to

be happening more and more as our numbers grow. We currently serve over two

thousand families in Palm Beach County. Over the next several

months we will be presenting four (4) Saturday Workshops (Navigating the

Course…Creating Possibilities) in collaboration with Palm Beach County School

District (PBCSD) Parent Services, FDLRS, FIN, and ESE. These workshops are open

to families and professionals and are free. The first workshop

entitled “Measurable Goals and Objectives” presented by Pincus, ESE

Director PBCSD, is Saturday November 11th , 9:30am - 11:30am at Palm

Beach County School District, Thurber Training Room,

3378 Forest Hill

Blvd, West Palm Beach, 33406 Individual Education Plans are the

cornerstone of a quality education for every student with a disability, in this

workshop you will learn what a measurable goal is, how to write a measurable

goal and how important it to insure the goals and objectives on your child’s

IEP are measurable, Not only is this an opportunity to learn how to

better ensure your child’s IEP is providing them with Free Appropriate Public

Education (F.A.P.E.) you will have an opportunity to meet and speak with

Pincus, she is the new Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Director in Palm

Beach County. I urge you to attend this workshop and the others in order

to prepare for your child’s next IEP meeting. Please see the attached

flyer for more information about this workshop and the other upcoming

workshops. Space is limited, you must RSVP, don’t wait call today to
