Guest guest
Brigid.... in a word, YES! I have. Although I never fell into the trap of numbers, I did keep track of it to give others an idea about me. When it felt right to me, it felt right.... none of the numbers mattered to me. Ok... just to let you know how it is with me, here goes. I fluctuate between 155-160. So, lets look at the high number. I was 300+. I don't know how much + it was. My scales didn't go that high. If you look at the standpoint of my height and frame size (XL)... I should weigh between 145 and 168. If you look at the high number, then I have lost over 100% of my excess weight. If you look at the low number, I have lost about 93% of my excess weight. So, there ya go! kris ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Aniceto Baltasar, MD Alcoy, SPAIN July 23, 1999 - self pay Open BPD/DS 60.35 inches gone 140+ lbs gone to the wind La vita e bella! Brigid, my original goal, as set by Delphine, was 145lb. At my current weight of 178 (down from 299), I am currently at 78.5% EWL. At my last appointment, Delphine reset my goal weight to 160, based on my body fat composition. Based on that new goal weight, I am currently at 87% EWL. I'm only 12 months post-op now, so I think I will lose a bit more, and I feel pretty confident that I'll reach my goal of 160lb. By the original measure of 145lb goal, a weight of 160 would put me at 90% EWL. So, you can see that the computation can get a bit fuzzy, since it depends on what goal you have set. By any measure, I think I'll reach and maybe exceed the 80% EWL though! My weight loss so far has been fairly effortless, so I feel totally blessed!
