Guest guest
Good Morning from Colorado. More thanks to all the kind notes to me, just cannot sit and write back at this point, but know IM reading them all and with great appreciation. This is day 19 since surgery, Vision still very good no blindess in right or left eye since day 1 !, swallowing still very good, reflux still bad however and still have to eat small meals, will need another Eseophpgram when better healed here as I still may need some fairly minor surgery (minor compared tp this) to correct the reflux or Hernia, or I will never gain all the weight I need back, IM one skinny assed woman right now who is getting tired of wearing kids clothes at age 40,ha,ha,ha,ha. Left side of head is still totally numb, left hand also, fairly minor annoyance at this point to me but still concerned. Still showing about 50% more movement in Diaphragm and chestwall, may take a long long time to get further in that. Ataxia still present but less than when came home last weekend. My head this surgery feels in last 2 days as if stomone shoved a huge PIPE type rod up that neck and head where all my staples are, does this sound to anyone like its just because its healing back there and so all the muscles are pulling together????, very very uncomfortable and painful. No signs of leakage whatsoever, do have some very enlarged lymph nodes, anyone ever have this right after surgery????, no remarkable fevers either, it can go to oike 99 but nothing bad, headaches are much better overall, pain is worst in surgery area. Hubby syas all looks really good back there, since he has to change the dressing every day he checks it for me. Monday will call to make Pulmonary Doc visit appt to see how much better my readings are. Will make appt with Cardiologist for my Murmurs and rythmias that seemed to stand out more after surgery than before to all the nurses, were not sure if my lack of Oxygen from Paralysis was masking the heart rhythms before surgery or not?, anyway thats an area IM totally unfamiliar with. Well, Nick takes me out every day in my wheelchair for a stroll or ride in car down the street for a cup of coffee, and I have to admit that Old Dawn here hates being back in her chair, its kinda like putting an animal in a cage at the Zoo, I really hate Confinements. IM only on about 1/8 the amount of Demerol at this point compared to the 24 hour a day drip(pump)_ I was on in Hopistal for 13 days, gotta get some out of me as it is a Depressant and IM already depressed right now from srugery (Post Trauma affects here), anyway IM sure in time I will get those nasty depressed feelings out of me, feel like crying a lot and feeling isolated at home as so incapacitated. Well Love to you all today, please have a wonderful day today and enjoy life, its wayyyyy too short to miss out on Love and Peace Dali Dawn
