Hi!

I am just beginning the SCD diet, today is day 2, so a very new

beginner:) I was officially diagnosed with UC last July, but had been

having troubles for a year and a half prior. I am fed up with the

meds and all the side effects and also not knowing when another flare

may occur. I am giving this a try and am praying that it works!

I have enjoyed browsing through all your messages and I think it's

great that there is so much support here. I feel kinda alone starting

this diet with no real support close by as most my family and friends

don't understand or think this diet is worth the effort or if it will

work, etc. It helps to know there are others out there doing it and

reaping the benefits!

Anyway, I have a ton of questions, but the main one I will ask right

now is about the DCCC. I have been searching EVERYWHERE for it and no

store has even heard of it..do they still sell it? I found this one

website that has resources to find it, and for a source it lists

" Friendship Brand Hoop Cheese. " My local Gelson's has this but I just

wanted to make sure it is legal? It comes in a block, so I don't know

if it's the right thing. I would appreciate some feedback soon, if

possible, as I am getting sick of chicken soup, carrots and eggs! I

would love to try the cheesecake recipe:)

Thanks so much and here's the link to that website!
