Eye-Q versus Eskimo 3

Hi

This is the first time I have posted a message to this group - although I read

everything! My name is Alison and I am the mum of a three year old boy

diagnosed with autism. His speech developed normally until he reached about

eighteen months old. Then it stalled until he was about two and a half ( he had

quite a large collection of single words but didn't string them together), at

which time he regressed to saying virtually nothing.

We have implemented various dietry interventions and supplements and his

language is returning. Recently I started him on Ekimo 3 fish oil (5mls per

day). Within a very short period his speech developed markedly - he was saying

new words every day and once or twice even strung words together. I then read

that Eye-Q was getting good results and changed him to this. he gets three 5 ml

teaspoons per day. Since starting the Eye-Q I have noticed a marked decrease in

his speech again. I cannot understand why this should be the case. Does anyone

have any experience of these two fish oils or have any idea why using Eye-Q

would appear to lead to less speech than using Eskimo 3? Is it the case that

results take longer to see with Eye-Q?

Any thoughts or advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

Alison
