Guest guest
Like , I have had no luck with green makeup. I just can't get it to look natural. At best it looks muddy and at worst I look like Margaret Hamilton who played The Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz. I use concealers that have yellow undertones. These still look like skin but cover the redness more realistically than red. At least for me. I use Lancome Maquicomplet concealer (many of their shades have yellow undertones, but don't get the one that is pure yellow because it's TOO yellow). I also have used MAC concealer successfully. MAC's NC and C shades have yellow undertones.
Guest guest
I use a green-based powder from Physician's Formula. It helps, but it doesn't totally offset the red. It depends on how your face is on any given day; when my skin is having a better day, it helps more. A flare, it doesn't help all that much. You do have to be careful not to overdo it, otherwise you get this odd green overcast :>P

I might check it out tomorrow when I'm out shopping. I'm also afraid of that greenish cast coming through. I now find myself wearing a somewhat heavy layer of foundation as a precaution for a flareup and feel like it does not look very natural. But when the flare starts up it will show through the makeup anyway and then I have to reapply to tone down the redness and end up with even a heavier layer! Guest guest
I use Kay green concealer under a Dior foundation and am very happy with the results. On a bad day it brings the red down significantly and looks like I used too much blush rather than looking like a sunburned tomato. On good days, it tones the red to a more natural blush level. On really good days (they are now few and far between), I look pale (pre-rosacea I would probably not have liked the look:). I find the green also helps conceal the spots when they are at their angry red stage. I use very little and have had no problem with green overtones. My 2¢ worth. Guest guest
jane, I use the Physicians Formula Green Powder and it does help. If I am going to wear foundation I use it after on the red areas and then some Clinique double Face powder if I'm really braoken out or just some loose powder if not. You need something over it to give you some color back, but the right kind of color. Don't use too much or you will look muddy. Guys out there, I think you could use this product with a very light hand to tone down the redness and not look like you are wearing make-up!
