Guest guest
As long as its coke. I had a diet coke until I dumped it on the carpet. Oh my, out with the woolite. I can pretend its oxygen deprivation and I wasn't always clumsy. Something tells me Irene is close to typing her last post for the night and about to drift into never never land. > > > > > > > > > > Irene...although you think nothing is broken, you could have > > > > chipped a bone... > > > > > Pain indicates something is wrong. Guest guest
Yes, you can still use your reservoir after you've frozen up one of your portables. Be sure to always try to fill up your Helios 30-40 minutes before you actually need it. You are not greedy at all. This is your life and your mobility we're talking about. If you don't demand the things that make life tolerable for you or get you out of the house, no one else will. The emotional toll is huge to feel that we're at the mercy of someone else, having to beg and scrape for every little thing, but the rewards of living a semi-normal life are priceless. I know not every supplier agrees to things no matter how persuasive or assertive you are, but Life Support has been very generous to me. Guest guest
They are just incredible to work with, Gwynne. Everyone there I've talked to......Kim, Shirley (I think), Ron, , the driver (oh, I'm awful with names). Getting car reservoir for my trip Monday morning. Special effort for then as they didn't want me starting out low from loss over weekend so didn't want to do it the easy way and deliver Thursday or Friday. They have CPAP order now...probably get it as soon as I return. Needless to say nurse messed it up twice. Now most ridiculous thing in history is Apria wants a prescription to pick theirs up. Well, good luck to them. I'm going to call and tell them they don't make the prescription laws but I have a trip to make so they can't pick up now until I get back anyway. Thats like a prescription not to fill a refill you have available on a med. I sure hope they grandfather and ride along when Medicare goes to the bidding thing this summer. Would hate to lose them. Only negative ever will be getting refills on long trip and they were upfront with that and I'm betting working it out will still be easy with them, just I'll have to pay....but an occasional $50 for a refill, I'll live with anytime for real service. I got out briefly yesterday for doctor and mail and to drop something by 's, but made two trips out today to enjoy the nice day. Oh, the Helios was nice. Yes, and I don't wait until I must leave to fill it, so if it froze I'd just wait. But the guy gave good instructions and then I went online and read the manual well. So, I think I know the things most likely to cause freezes and at least when I cause one I'll probably know what I did wrong that time. Slip of hand or something. Easing up on the top while still holding lever down, instead of releasing lever first. That will be me. I think Life Support understands their place. They are capable of providing service Apria and Lincare can't or don't. They must provide it to survive and justify existing. But best way ever to build a business. Years ago I turned two fairly large manufacturing companies around 95% based on improving our customer service. In neither case was our product all that different, but no one could compare with our service. Was nice too when they said but " Company X " is willing to sell to us for this to say, but remember the service they provided you. We won't sell for that but you know what we provide. And they are like " well, you're right...it was worth a try. You're worth the difference. " lol > > Yes, you can still use your reservoir after you've frozen up > one of your portables.
