Hi Shonda...my extensive research has revealed the same possible correlation

between high mercury levels and persistent and unrelenting candida...I have had

2 hair mineral analyses, a heavy metal urine challenge test and a blood test to

examine my mercury levels and I DO have mercury poisoning which I believe is

likely contributing to my difficulty in gaining control over the yeast despite

my best efforts over the past years...in my case, I only have one mercury

amalgam and poisoned myself out of ignorance in eating large amounts and the

wrong types of fish because early on I could not tolerate meat of any kind...I

stopped eating fish altogether for some time and now mail order only certain

species from global waters I have investigated to be relatively safe...I plan to

have my amalgam removed by a holistic dentist who utilizes special protocols for

such and then to make some attempts to get the mercury out of my system with

appropriate supplements and healing my thyroid which is f

ritzing and has likely been damaged by the mercury....one is not supposed to

chelate until all amalgams are removed from what I read and the whole chelation

debate is definately a confusing one!!! I think the organization that has info.

on amalgam removal is called DAMS and you can also look up Andy Cutler whose

chelation protocols some follow to get some more information on the ill effects

of mercury amalgams etc. There is so much coflicting info. out there on this

subject but I have read posts by those who say they couldn't recover until they

got rid of the mercury so I don't know if it is the less of two evils or what!

Good luck!

Have any of you looked into mercury as a contributor, and if you have,

have you followed up on it with any results? I've been looking up info

on candida recently and ran into mercury poisoning as a potential

reason for not being able to get candida overgrowth to go away. I do

have a LOT of " silver filling " amalgams (16), several of which are

under metal-plated crowns which would make them worse about leaching.

I know the ADA says they are safe, but I'm not buying it anymore. This

concerns me, but it would be so expensive for me to fix, plus, the

thought of chelation really scares the snot outta me, not to mention it

can take years. I've read so many stories of people getting hurt by

well-intentioned doctors; chelation can be dangerous. Still, I'm

having some preliminary tests done to see if this may be me. I'm

scared.

Thanks for listening!

Nervous,

Shonda
