Guest guest
Dawn, how old is your kid? Is he in the public school system? WHo did you talk to at your school to sign the paper? Did you ask in writing? You need to ask in writing, Dawn. You need to address your letter to the Principal and cc it to your ESE specialist, child's SLP and child's teacher. You also need to ask your pricipal who in the county's ESE dept. you can take your case to in case your school for some reason cannot help you. You need that device now. What type of device has your SLP suggested? How much does it cost if you were to buy it? He should have one at home and one at school. Don't sit back ad wait, be proactive. What county are you in? Keep in touch. Lizzie Hi everyone. I was just courious what people's defintion of verbal is? My son can say "I want .........." and memorized phrase. But we can not have a conversation with him so I do not consider him verbal. We are tring to get an Agumentive Communication device for him because his private SLP thinks it would help him to be more expressive. We tried going though our private insurance but they denide it because under our policy they do not cover any of the devices. So now we are tring to go though Medicade and they need the school to sign a school concurence form and they do not want to sign that saying that my son is verbal. Therefore the question What is your deifintion of Verbal? Thanks in advanceDawn
