Guest guest
Zena, Bruce, et all, To this day, my grown children ( 28,34,37) still yell " Yuck..kissing in the kitchen" when Mike and I hug and kiss in front of them in the kitchen!!! I guess it's just TMI for them.. ..But we've always shown affection to each other and to them and other family members. How else will a child know that this positive behavior is necessary for life? Yes, I got a bit serious here. Zena, I know my parents did it...my room was next to theirs!!! Again, Another TMI moment! Z fibriotic NSIP/05 Z fibriotic NSIP/o5/PA And “mild” PH/10/07 and Reynaud’s too!! Guest guest
I agree completely with you. I learned thoughts and intelligence and performance were important, not emotions and feelings and affection and passion. If you and Mike make out in a restaurant line you'll be criticized more than if you argue and call each other stupid. Running naked through a store will get you in far more trouble than cursing the clerk out for making a mistake. People get more offended by the cut of a blouse or the length of a skirt than by the parents demeaning their kids in the store or ignoring their kids who are running wild and may get hurt in the grocery parking lot. Janet 's Nipplegate gets TiVo'd and fines against the networks more than the shows of brutality and violence. I know for most of us dating may have been a while, but what do you discuss on a first date? Favorite foods, colors, movies, tv shows. And even then you nod, oh I agree when you don't. We learn superficial aspects of people but nothing about their inner selves. Even if you meet someone and feel something you're scared to express it first. We're only a little better than the times in which a lady never called a man. And isn't it good to know your parents did it? I can't think of anything better than to go look in your 75 year old parents medicine cabinet for aspirin and see your dads Viagra. Doctors are told to be detached. Well, the best ones I've known, you knew they cared. And, when they couldn't solve it you saw their concern. You were comforted that they were going to keep trying. Sher has Rosebud and I have my bears and we're both proud. And even though I am not the custodial parent, if either kitty is sick I worry greatly. And, yes, I'll cry over a sad movie or an especially sensitive good one. Use to drive me crazy that companies equated dress shirt, suit, and tie with professionalism over treatment of employees and job performance. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Well, actually not quite my story today. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Yesterday started experiencing some lung pain and my > > > > > > inspired > > > > > > > > > > volume > > > > > > > > > > > > was down as were sats on exertion.
