Guest guest Posted December 19, 2008 Report Share Posted December 19, 2008 I'm about to rename my kid to "Lucky". We spent the morning at the Audiologist. It looks like her older cochlear implant is malfunctioning, which means resurgury. She just had the surgury for the new one 9/04 and had just started using both, so she could locate sound. There is about a 2% chance of product failure, and "Lucky" is the one. Then this afternoon at afterschool she somehow got her hand caught in the chain of a moving bike...we spent 2 hrs at emergency and luckily she didn't break anything, but, her pinky looks like a sausage.
