I have to tell you I have tears running down my face right now. My son

has or has had many of the same things in his life as your daughter. I too

felt alone and never new about this sensory stuff. We are rural and I feel

I have not been taken seriously by Dr.'s at times. Kinda brushed off when

was small. I don't let that happen anymore. too won't let

things go around family, but controls it in public, is sensitive to smells

and loud noises. I hear you with the chewing thing. His sister never hears

the end of this one. He can't have anything going on around him when doing

the homework(actually this has gotten a little better). We actually

couldn't go to a certain BBQ restaurant in our area because he hated the

smell soooo much and would complain very loudly at the restaurant(he was

much younger and would say whatever he felt).

Thanks so much for sharing and making me feel not so alone with this. Pat
