Autism Society of America - Heartland Celebrates a Busy Holiday Season The Autism Society of America - Heartland (ASAH) in Kansas City brought children with autism a special chance to see Santa Claus this Christmas. Many children with autism have challenges that prevent them from the holiday tradition of visiting Santa and having their photos taken with him at the mall, where the lines are usually long and the noise and atmosphere can be overwhelming for children on the spectrum. So this year, Santa contacted ASAH and offered to meet with families in a private atmosphere.
