Hello, Dr. Sy,

I have no excuse, other than laziness, for not posting my experience

with sulfur-containing topicals. (Thanks, Dr. Nase for the nudge in the

you-know- where.) I hope it's not too late to contribute.

I used Sulfacet-R (sodium sulfacetamide 10% and sulfur 5%) for about a

few months. I got great results -- no bumps or redness. However, I

also got unbelievable dryness and my skin appeared to be thinning and a

bit shiny. Almost like AHA's, without the redness and burning. My

derm., Dr. Koo, told me to either use a moisturizer with it or

stop using it. I stopped using it.

I hope that helps, and my apologies for not sending this sooner. I

really appreciate all your time and effort on our behalf.
