Guest guest
Well, there are some people at Hopkins who are familiar with and who treat VV. ONe is , Nurse Practitioner at Hopkins Bayview and there are two PT's .... one at Hopkins main hospital and one at Hopkins Bayview center. I no longer remember the names of these two ladies (except that the PT who practiced at Bayview was at the Rehab Center and her name was , last name initial S) If there is a particular hospital which you would like to use, you really should call the hospital and speak with the various departments you are interested in and ask about 'specialities'. When I first started doing this, I screwed myself up by simply asking 'I'm looking for a doc who specilizes in pelvic pain " - which was no where near specific enough. When calling about PT's one has to ask if there are any women's issues specialist who can evaluate you for pelvic floor, vaginsimus and other pelvic pain issues. If the answer is yes, then make a appt. WHen looking for a gyn- be specific when you call around and say you are searching for a doc who specializes in unexplained vulvar disorders, vestibule and vaginal pain of no known etiology and potential hormonal imbalances which contribute. I can tell you I made a LOT of phone calls and kissed a lot of frogs before I found a prince. You have to get out your phone book and really work it, cold calling gyn clinics and private practices.
