Guest guest
, I just posted my post about titty. What about it bothered you? I am just curious because that is how I have always reffered to it with both my children. I also call it mama's milk but Zaid calls it titty (tee tee). I was just wondering why it REALLY bothered you. Wendi Re: name question Other than " mama " , " dada " , or " nana " .... Gracie doesn't talk yet. I have always been a little conscious as to how I referred to our nursing times. I had a friend who's dh used to say " You want some titty " He did it in a joking playful way but the kid picked up on it and that's what he called it. It REALLY bothered me ! *L* Anyway......... What I say is " You want some mama's milk ? " Or I'll say " You want some milk ? " Something like that.... One day at the park I asked if she wanted some " mama's milk " and the lady next to me thought I said " LLAMA'S milk ! " *ROFL* I thought it was cute.... But hey, people drink cow and goat milk, why NOT llama ? Something to think about.... Guest guest
Kathy, It would take a lot more than that to offend me! Don't worry I love diversity. I think it would be so boring if everyone agreed. I can understand the T & A thing, I never think of that. Wendi Re: name question I'm sorry if I offended you! I certainly didn't mean to! Everyone should call it whatever they are comfortable calling it. It obviously didn't sound crude to my hubby either *G*. Guest guest
Martha, Did you nurse your older baby? It is good to think about what to call it now, before she talks. I have a hard time keeping track of everyone and their babies on this list. Thanks for reminding me. It was fun writing back and forth, with you too, Kathy. I have to go give Zaid the titty now. Guest guest
Wendi, I did nurse my older one for about 3 1/2 months. When I returned to work my milk supply diminished b/c of NO support from my coworkers and my employer. It was kinda hard pumping in the bathroom stall sitting on the toilet with no seat and having your coworkers b*tch and complain about me getting a 20 min break or so twice aday and they didn't get on. It was just a horrible experience for me working and pumping. That is one of the MANY reasons I decided to become a SHAM. Martha

Needless to say he is No longer my husbands friend! I was quite proud of the way my husband delt with it, he said if he was going to be so absurd, and ignorant, and plain old RUDE to me, that he no longer needed to come over to our house! And I agree it would certainly be abuse if we did not feed them, but of course society has been led to think formula is better, and cleaner, etc, etc! I just hope we can get past that, I think it is great that there are so many breastfeeding links, and groups on the net! Hopefully the children of the future will know that BREAST IS BEST.....!
