Or just more general well-being in the gut area? Mara, I've mentioned that I do better on lower carbs than most people. Part of that was anything with fruit or honey -- it would set me off on the runs unless I ate only a small amount, well balanced with plenty of fat and protein. If it didn't set me off on the runs, I had the most embarrassing gas. (Ya'll know THIS one: lots of it, very smelly, and very noisy!) A real problem, since I am very fond of fruit and honey. Now I don't. Have the problem, that is. I actually had four pieces of ginger taffy for Valentine's Day! <grin> AND some Cashew Satin. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund

I've only realized that I was finding honey and some other high carbs getting in the way of healing as well - at this point, however, I've been finding the lower fructose fruit - even raw - much easier for my system to deal with. Though I slipped up yesterday and had more honey than I've been having - which is practically zilch - and I noticed a difference today. Anyway, I've ordered the S. Boulardi. Perhaps that will help me as well. Do you have a theory as to what they are doing to help you? Do you think they are repressing the other bacteria causing the problem with the higher carbs?
