I don't know how you guys feel about McCain/Palin (and I don't care) I just want to point out that that fruit fly research in Paris, France was the first sequenced DNA, and has made great strides in helping us sequence our own DNA as well as aided in finding weakness in it (such as Fragile X) so they know where to look when they do genetic testing on our autistic kids. It wasn't "silly fruit fly research," it was legitimate and useful research. Sometimes pulling research from one place is doing a disservice to our special needs kids in another.  pollthings like fruit fly research in Paris, France,
