Guest guest
Hi Group, Parents 62 years and up applying for Social Security retirement benefits who have school –age children will also receive benefits for those dependent children. The basic criteria is that the child must be still in high school and up to 18 years old, however a 19-year old child still in high school is also eligible for dependent benefits. The child’s benefits will be approximately half of what the parents receive. Children who are considered disabled, and began their disabling condition before the age of 22, are eligible for these dependent benefits indefinitely.
