If your child has digestion issues because of the vitamin therapy, you might want to try giving him papaya enzyme tablets or absorb aid once a day. G.Subject: Anyone have success stories using Vitamins/Minerals for Toddlers on SpectrumTo: sList Date: Wednesday, October 8, 2008, 5:32 PM

Hi, I am new to this group and have so many questions so I will Post

with different subjects. My 23 month old is on the following.

B6 200mg w/ Magnesium 140mg 1xday

Methyl B12 every 3rd day

Codliver oil - 2 tsp per day

Calcium 1000mg per day

Vit C 1000mg per day

Folinic Acid 400mcg per day

Can anyone give suggestions and tell me protocols that are working for

their child on the spectrum.

I would like to try new things that I am not doing now that I may have

not heard of.

Thanks so much

I forgot to mention my son has been on vitamin nutrient therapy since age 7. He is now age 24. We have been involved w/ Pfeiffer Treatment Center in Illinois for his therapy. The have good info on their site that you can access even if you aren't a patient.http://hriptc.org/G.--- Subject: Anyone have success stories using Vitamins/Minerals for Toddlers on SpectrumTo: sList Date: Wednesday, October 8, 2008, 5:32 PM

Hi,

We decided to take our son to a DAN doctor. We were spending over

$250/month on my son figuring out what vitamin - amino acid or mineral

would help and it is very frustrating because what is helping another

child might not help yours.

Also with all these supplements you need to find out what kind of

foods your son is allergic to so that all the money you are going to

spend on gluten free and casein free foods is agreeing with his stomach.

If you like I can give you the name of this DAN Doctor - she is

caring and won't make you spend any more then you have to. Her son has

autism as well.

Wish you all the best

I have always given my children papaya enzyme for tummy discomfort. Since they were toddlers. The Absorb aid we started as part of our Vit./Nutrient therapy w/ Pfeiffer Treatment center when my son was about 10. I would suggest checking with your doctor or reading the label before using Absorb Aid. We started the Pfeiffer program when my son was about 7 and he is now in his twenties.
