Fellow Listmates:

After a 7 year Hiatus from my career (after adopting Miki and then hearing her multiple diagnoses and attempting to "cure" them) I have partnered with two Certified Special Care Planners. Joe Eppy, one of the partners helped write and teaches the course for Certified Special Planners at American College and has been appointed to the faculty of University of Pittsburgh teaching Special Care Planning. His company, Eppy Finanacial has been the key note speaker at many Special Needs workshops and conferences along the Eastern Seaboard. We have a combined 44 years of experience working in financial services. We offer a free consultation regarding the following topics:

Protection of current or potential government benefits.

Wills and why they are needed.

Health Care Surrogate, and how HIPPA laws can effect direction of care by parents

Living Wills and Durable Power of Attorney

Special Needs Trust; what it is and how it works

Ways to fund a Special Needs Trust

Letter of Intent- (Instructions to the next caregiver)

What happens at age 18?

Guardianship issues and types

Why accepting a financial gift could be the wrong thing to do.

How to retire and still have funding for long range goals.

Financial Strategies for the Special Needs Family

Getting started with the planning process.

If anyone has any questions regarding the above you could call me to arrange a consultation. I'm available at
