Guest guest
I am looking for a bike for my autistic son for Xmas, that has 3 wheels. He is 8 and almost 5' tall. He cannot ride a 2 wheeler without training wheels, and I'd hate to see other kids make fun of him with a " baby " bike. His 5 year old typical brother is getting a 2 wheeler for Xmas, but will easily learn to ride it without the training wheels. I've seen the recumbent bikes, chopper style, that are very cool, but VERY expensive. I don't have much money to spend....anyone have any suggestions? Guest guest
There's a gentleman in Palm Beach who fixes bikes and gives them away to the needy. He might have something so it's worth a shot to contact him. His name is Jack - Jack the Bike Man jack@..., BadilloOne site has it all. Guest guest
Got just the bike...it is called the california chariot. I bought it for my son. It is a cross between a BMX bike, scooter and shopping cart (not kidding). It has a BMX front wheel with brakes, two skate board skids and shopping cart wheels. My son uses it...same problem-can't balance or coordinate left-right to pedal. This stays upright so it doesn't fall over like a scooter and meets the cool factor with the kids with the BMX wheel. It is $169 new (just google california chariot) but you might be able to find one on e-bay or craigs list. > > I am looking for a bike for my autistic son for Xmas, that has 3 > wheels.
